Nose Strings Attached

So maybe this is a toddler phase of some sort? Joshua seems to really enjoy shoving things in his nose, lately it's my shoelaces. In the pictures below he had gone and brought out my boot from the laundry room, sat down in the family room with it and proceeded to ernestly focus on getting the end of the lace to stay in his nose. He was extremely serious about it all, as you can see, finally getting to the "look, no hands!" pose after many failed attempts.
